This lead gulley is 10m long it was originally ran in what I think to be code 5 lead they had layed it in 2.5 metre sections! Which is bad practice for code 5 lead as it can’t expand and contact “hence” splitting! We refitted code 5 lead in no more than 1.5 m sections which allows lead to move and hopefully prevent splitting for a long time. If you notice this roof has been laid to Delabole rag slate. when I first arrive at this property over the years people had been up there doing repairs and instead of putting Delabole slate back! They used fibre cement slates that had All warn out again before the natural Delabole. I couldn’t bere to see this roof like it! so off I went to aquire the real deal and these are mid and finished pictures. 😁
